Role Overview
Kilowott is looking for a Full Stack WordPress & WooCommerce Developer to join our Kochi team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, customizing, and maintaining high-performance WordPress and WooCommerce websites, working closely with designers, project managers, and QA teams.
This is a hybrid role, requiring regular presence at our Kochi office.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins
Build and customize WooCommerce stores (products, checkout, payment gateways, shipping)
Convert Figma/Adobe designs into responsive WordPress interfaces
Implement custom functionalities using PHP, JavaScript, and WordPress hooks
Optimize website performance, security, and scalability
Integrate third-party APIs, CRMs, and marketing tools
Debug, test, and maintain existing WordPress projects
Collaborate with UI/UX designers and project managers
Ensure best practices for SEO, performance, and accessibility
Required Skills & Experience
3–6+ years of experience in WordPress development
Strong expertise in:
WordPress Core, Hooks, Actions & Filters
WooCommerce customization
PHP, MySQL
HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
Experience with:
Custom theme & plugin development
Page builders (Gutenberg, Elementor, or similar)
REST APIs and third-party integrations
Familiarity with Git/version control
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Good to Have
Experience with headless WordPress
Knowledge of React or modern JS frameworks
Exposure to performance tools (Lighthouse, GTMetrix)
Understanding of security best practices
Experience working in an agency environment
